NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Transport Properties buys 30 acre IOS in Chicagoland. Transport Properties has acquired 5300 Joliet Road in McCook, Illinois. The property includes an 8,000 SF office building and a 6,000 SF warehouse. Timothy McCahill led the Transport deal team. Tom Condon with Lee & Associates represented Transport in the transaction, while Vern Schultz with Colliers represented the seller.

ACQUISITION: Kidder Mathews brokers sale of 18 acre IOS in Tacoma to Alterra. Alterra IOS has acquired 1124 112th Street East in Tacoma, Washington. The property features several existing shop buildings and is located adjacent to the Port of Tacoma. Mike Newton, Dane Dahline, Matt Murray, and Travis Stanaway with Kidder Mathews represented Alterra in the transaction. Parker Pearson led the Alterra deal team.

ACQUISITION: Patriot IOS buys 4 acre IOS in Lakeland, FL for $1.285M. Patriot IOS has acquired 5320 North Combee Road in Lakeland, Florida. The property is fully fenced, secured, and lit and is strategically located off I-4 between Tampa and Orlando. Tim Hurless with Avocat Group represented Patriot IOS in the transaction, while David Wilson with Colliers represented the seller.

ACQUISITION: Rockbrook Equity buys 1.16 acre IOS in DFW metro area. Rockbrook Equity has acquired 2605 North Forum Drive in Grand Prairie, Texas. The property features a 6,600 SF industrial building. Cole Horowitz and Jon Birnbrey led the Rockbrook deal team. Chris Wong with Bradford Commercial Real Estate represented Rockbrook in the transaction, while Johnny Begzos with Mason Commercial Real Estate represented the seller.

ACQUISITION: CanTex Capital buys 7.82 acre IOS in DFW metro area. CanTex Capital has acquired 3301 West Kingsley Road in Garland, Texas. The low-coverage property includes a 76,169 SF industrial building plus 3.5 acres of excess land that CanTex plans to repurpose as IOS for lease. Reeves Atkins and Warren Smith with Edge facilitated the sale-leaseback transaction with Weathermatic.

LEASE SIGNED: Neil Walter Co. leases out cold storage plus IOS in Tacoma area. Neil Walter Company has facilitated a lease renewal for 7401-7495 26th Street East in Fife, Washington. The property features a 54,000 SF building with 20,000 SF of freezer and cooler space, along with 4.4 acres of IOS. Nicholas Ratzke and Scott Price with Neil Walter Co. represented the landlord, CenterPoint Properties, in the transaction.
