HOW FOLKLORE BEGINS
To discourage the kids asking for a Furby for Christmas, I told my them that they come alive at night and pull your fingernails off to feed on the soft meat underneath. Overheard the youngest telling her friends about it in the playground.

FORECLOSING ON THE FAMILY
I take great pleasure in always winning Monopoly when I play with my wife and 2 children (aged 7 and 9). My personal best was having both my children in tears and wife giving me the cold shoulder because I was so ruthless. It's my way of showing them life's not fair.
