NEWS ROUNDUP
ACQUISITION: Arden Logistics Parks acquires Chicago ISF. ALP acquired 1404 W. Fullerton in Addison, IL through an off-market transaction from seller Clear Height Properties. The site contains a 34,700 SF industrial service facility with outdoor storage on 3.61 acres and is leased to UPS. Arden’s Craig Spencer and Christian Vergillio were featured in the press release. JLL’s Kurt Sarbaugh and Ross Bratcher brokered the transaction. In 2022, ALP struck a $1 billion joint venture with alternative investment firm Wafra to acquire in-fill ISF properties in major US markets.
ACQUISITION: Axis IOS and Quilvest buy San Antonio IOS. Kicking off their $500M joint venture, the duo purchased an 18.6-acre IOS at 9415 NE Loop 410 in San Antonio’s Eastgate neighborhood. The tenant is Anderson Machinery Co. The seller and sale price were not disclosed, but we’ll do some sleuthing and report back.
INLAND TERMINAL: Georgia Port Authority approves $127 million. The GPA has approved funding to build the Blue Ridge Connector, an inland rail terminal in Gainesville, GA northeast of Atlanta. The facility is estimated to open in 2026. “Every container moved by rail will avoid a 600-mile roundtrip by truck between Savannah and the Gainesville, area.” -Griff Lynch, GPA President and CEO
