NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: CAT dealer buys 2.3 acre yard in Carson, CA for $14.3 million. Colliers brokers Lary Carlton, Kyle Degener, and Amanda DePierro represented Quinn Rental Services (CAT) in purchasing this Class A, 2.32 acre yard at 333 E Gardena Blvd in Carson, CA. This site is Quinn’s 17th location in central and southern California.

IOS SALE: Klabin brokers Compton IOS property. Klabin brokers David Prior, Todd Taugner, and Frank Schulz represented the buyer and seller at 1435 S Santa Fe Ave in Compton, CA. The site is a 1.56 acre parcel with 24,000 SF of warehouse space. Stay tuned to the IOS map for the sale price.

IOS PARTNERSHIP: Quilvest and Axis launch $500M IOS joint venture. Quilvest Capital Partners and Axis IOS are launching a new initiative to expand their IOS holdings across the US. The duo kicked off their joint venture with a 16.8 acre IOS purchase in San Antonio. The pair plans to convert the site from a single user to a multi-tenant IOS campus. Congrats to both teams!

YELLOW: Bankruptcy auction nets $1.9B for truck terminals…so far. After almost a century of operations, Yellow hit the brakes and swerved into bankruptcy on August 6. To pay down debt, the company put 176 terminals up for auction. Who is winning so far?

  • XPO bid $870M offer for 28 properties

  • Estes, the stalking horse bidder, scored 24 truck terminals for $250M

  • Knight-Swift grabbed 13 terminals for $51M

  • Saia Inc. won 17 terminals for $236M
