NEWS ROUNDUP
ACQUISITION: Alterra buys 4.81 acre IOS in Seekonk, MA for $3.075M. Alterra Property Group has purchased 45 Industrial Court in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The site includes 10,788 SF of warehouse space and 7 grade-level doors. The Alterra deal team included Sean Christman and Mark Gannon. Matty Drouillard and James Stubblebine of The Stubblebine Co. brokered the sale.
ACQUISITION: Partners negotiates sale of 26 acre IOS in San Antonio, TX. Partners Real Estate represented the buyer, a private equity firm, in the sale of 14603-14710 Speedway Park in Von Ormy, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio. The IOS property features a 7,500 SF truck terminal building. The Partners team was led by Stan Nowak.
TRUCKING: Saia opens 2 terminals in Texas and Montana. Saia LTL Freight has opened new truck terminals in Garland, Texas, and Missoula, Montana. The openings are part of Saia’s $1 billion capital expenditure plan for 2024. Saia has been aggressively expanding, recently buying $244 million worth of assets that belonged to Yellow Corp. at auction. The Saia team includes Patrick Sugar.
GROUND BREAKING: Brennan breaks ground on IOS in Summerville, SC. Brennan Investment Group commenced development of 0 Business Park Road in Summerville, South Carolina. The 11.96 acre trailer yard will feature 234 trailer spaces, concrete dolly pads, fence/lighting, 24/7 access, and pad site for an office trailer. Tradd Varner from Harbor Commercial is handling leasing. See our April 26 issue for details.
PEOPLE MOVES: Catalyst hires IOS Sourcing Analyst. Catalyst Investment Partners has hired Von Hobe as a Sourcing Analyst focusing on IOS investment opportunities in the East Coast market. Von previously served on the Sales Development team at Prequin.
