CLOSING: Phoenix IOS trades for $7.65 million. Max Schumacher, Patrick Sheehan, and Jack Hansen with Rein & Grossoehme sold this 9 acre IOS with 94,120 SF of industrial structures in southwest Phoenix at 3502 W Lower Buckeye Rd. Jackie Orcutt and Jonathan Teeter with CBRE sourced the buyer.
LEASE SIGNED: Colliers secures lease in Chula Vista. Colliers brokers Kurtis Blanchard, Evan McDonald, and Mark Lewkowitz sourced a tenant for 875 Energy Way in Chula Vista, CA. The site contains a 28-door truck terminal with excess parking. The same team recently inked another lease for Zenith just a few parcels down. The Colliers team is just dominating this strip.
TRUCK FUNDING: $755 million truck parking bill stuck on yellow in Congress. “It’s interesting because truck parking and this bill is not an issue where there’s any opposition on Capitol Hill, and that’s unique among trucking issues. The biggest challenge is getting this issue to the top of lawmakers’ priority list and getting them to dedicate the time and political capital to moving it forward.” -Bryce Mongeon, Independent Drivers Association
