NEWS ROUNDUP

PoLA is going on a $233 million shopping spree. The State of California has awarded the Port of LA $233 million to complete three supply chain and safety enhancement projects. The shopping list? $115 million to Maritime Support Facility (MSF) Improvement and Expansion Project to make all the terminals in the port complex more efficient. $50 million to Rail Mainline/ Wilmington Community & Waterfront Pedestrian Grade Separation Bridge connecting the community to the waterfront and separating the access from the port operation. Lastly, $15 million to State Route 47/Seaside Avenue and Navy Way Interchange Improvements to increase safety and reduce transport congestion. The port is racking up W’s after recently negotiating a temporary labor deal with longshoremen. Now, go get on that writer’s strike so my Netflix queue doesn’t dry up.

BLT Enterprises finances IOS properties in Burbank and Pico Rivera. Bandon Capital Advisors secured a loan of $11.5 million for BLT Enterprises to refinance a 3.11 acre IOS deal in Costa Mesa. They also secured $5 million in financing for two single-tenant industrial assets in Burbank and Pico Rivera. These financed properties are located at 3539 Howard Way in Costa Mesa, 2901 Thornton Ave in Burbank and 7748 Industry Ave in Pico Rivera. BLT: Love the deals, really love the sandwiches.

AlterraIOS notches a deal in West Palm. AlterraIOS locked down an 11 acre IOS deal at 101 North Benoist Farms Rd, West Palm Beach, FL. The site has two grade-level buildings totaling 23,000 SF with 33’ clear heights. Prospective tenants will appreciate the immediate proximity to the FL Turnpike. The deal team included Guillermo De Nicolas of Panther Capital, and leasing is being handled by Robert Smith and Kirk Nelson of CBRE.
